The game of Eintracht from Frankfurt in Bochum caused a lot of sensation. This was mainly due to a fan excitement-but also due to a fast player.

Jean-Mattéo Bahoya from Eintracht Frankfurt has set up a new speed record in the Bundesliga. The offensive player reached a pace of 37.16 km/h in the 3-1 win of his team against VfL Bochum on Sunday, according to the DFL.

Bahoya thus exceeded the previous record of Heidenheim’s Sirlord Conteh, which has been the fastest player in the Bundesliga at 36.82 km/h. However, Conteh was able to compensate for the loss of his record with a personal success: on Sunday he scored his first Bundesliga goal in the 3-1 win in the basement duel against Holstein Kiel.

Gerrit Holtmann from VfL Bochum takes third place in the ranking of the fastest Bundesliga players at 36.74 km/h. The sprint data has been officially recorded since the 2011/12 season.
