“My focus is on Eintracht Frankfurt,” says goalscorer Omar Marmoush. The striker still feels flattered by the interest from top European clubs.
Eintracht Frankfurt’s sought-after top striker Omar Marmoush has no plans to move during the winter break. “My focus is solely on Eintracht Frankfurt and being successful here,” said Marmoush in an interview with Sport Bild. He wants to continue to give his best with the Hessians, “so that at the end of the season we can say as a team: We have achieved something great.”
30 scorer points in 24 competitive games
Marmoush has scored 13 goals in 15 Bundesliga games, making him the second-best goalscorer behind Bayern star striker Harry Kane (14). In 24 competitive games for Eintracht this season he has collected a total of 30 scorer points.
His strong performances so far this season have aroused the interest of a number of top clubs – especially from England. “Of course you notice it in passing. I’m honored that people are talking about me. It shows that I’m obviously doing a good job. But it doesn’t bother me at all in everyday life,” said the 25-year-old Egyptian.
Marmoush market value increased to 60 million euros
The attacker’s working paper at Eintracht is valid until the summer of 2027. The Frankfurt team definitely want to keep Marmoush, whose market value has now risen to 60 million euros, during this season. “I feel very comfortable here. Eintracht believed in me and gave me their trust. I want to repay this trust with good performances and goals,” said Marmoush. “What happens in the distant future doesn’t interest me yet.”
In an interview with hessenschau.de Eintracht sports director Markus Krösche also spoke about Marmoush and confirmed that he did not want to move away from the current transfer strategy. “Of course, Omar has developed very well and quickly at a high level. And if you perform well, there is interest from other clubs – that’s completely normal,” he said. “If someone develops faster than the club and expresses the desire to change clubs, we will take that into account and say: ‘Okay, we have to find a solution.’ But Omar is nowhere near that point yet.”
