Conversations about loans

Junior Dina Ebimbe last played a game for Eintracht Frankfurt in mid-November and could still leave the club during this transfer window. Although sports director Markus Krösche recently emphasized that he did not want to give up the 24-year-old midfielder, according to French reporter Marc Mechenoua, talks are still being held with AS Monaco about a loan. According to “RMC Sport”, the player and the Monegasques have already agreed.
As the station reports, the SGE is ready to let Dina Ebimbe go. There is a loan until the end of the season including a purchase option. The Frenchman has made eleven appearances with 491 minutes this season, scoring two goals and two assists. His market value fell from 12 million to 9 million euros and he is currently suffering from a muscle injury in his calf. Last season, Dina Ebimbe was one of the regulars and top performers.
There had already been rumors of a move about him last summer and, according to reports, he wanted to stay in Frankfurt at the time, while the SGE was said to be open to a sale. Dina Ebimbe was traded at FC Everton, SSC Napoli and Galatasaray, among others. His contract is valid until 2027. The SGE signed him permanently from Paris Saint-Germain in 2023 after a previous loan for 6.5 million euros.
“We have a lot of competition at his position. He wasn’t there because other players were better at the position. Two years ago the team formed itself and now they have options. Others were simply better at that time. This doesn’t always have anything to do with the player himself. We have grown as a club and then it happens that you end up sitting on the bench. We don’t want to give him up. He wants more playing time and that’s clear,” said Krösche at the beginning of January.
So far, Omar Marmoush (Man City), Jens Petter Hauge (Bodø/Glimt), Faride Alidou and Simon Simoni (both 1. FC Kaiserslautern) have left the SGE and have poured at least 78.5 million euros into the coffers – they are historic highest income of a Bundesliga club in a winter.
