Eintracht has had some problems in attack since Hugo Ekitiké’s move. Only Jonathan Burkardt works reliably, but is injured. Now reinforcements are coming.
Eintracht Frankfurt is apparently close to signing the current top scorer in the 2nd Bundesliga. As “Bild” and the TV channel Sky report, Younes Ebnoutalib is set to move from SV Elversberg to the Champions League participant.
Accordingly, Eintracht is ready to pay eight million euros for the 22-year-old. There are also two million in possible bonus payments. The attacker is expected to receive a contract until 2031 and could come to Frankfurt at the beginning of the new year.
Ebnoutalib has scored twelve goals so far in the current second division season and is the top scorer list. Clubs from abroad are also said to have shown interest. Elversberg had only signed him last winter for 50,000 euros from the regional league team FC Gießen.
With the possible transfer, the Hessians are also reacting to the personnel situation in the attack: Jonathan Burkardt and Michy Batshuayi are missing injured, and the Frenchman Elye Wahi has so far fallen short of expectations.
