Eintracht Frankfurt fears for Rode, RB Leipzig for Olmo

Before the start of the Champions League, both Eintracht Frankfurt and RB Leipzig are worried about one top performer each.

In the Hessians, captain Sebastian Rode threatens to fail against Sporting Lisbon, while the Saxons will probably have to do without Dani Olmo against Shakhtar Donetsk. Both professionals had to be substituted early on Saturday evening in a direct Bundesliga duel due to injury.

According to Eintracht coach Oliver Glasner, Rode’s thigh pinched. “I don’t know exactly what it is. But it’s only a short period of time in which he should be fit again. Of course it would be a shame if he had to take a break again,” said Glasner after Frankfurt’s convincing 4-0 win , to which Rode contributed a hit.

Leipzig’s Olmo had to leave the field after just eleven minutes with knee problems. “It was painful for us, but we’ll probably only know more on Sunday,” said RB coach Domenico Tedesco.
