Eintracht Frankfurt has extended the contract with Nnamdi Collins by two years. As the SGE announced on Monday, the new working paper is valid until 2030. This means that the 20-year-old defender and goalkeeper Kauã Santos (21) have been tied to the club for the longest time.
Collins moved from Borussia Dortmund to Eintracht in the summer of 2023 for a fee of one million euros, where he celebrated his breakthrough this season. There were two appearances in the last season and eleven in the current season. The two-time Germany U21 international scored his only assist in the 7-2 win against VfL Bochum on matchday 9. In the Bundesliga’s market value update on Thursday, Collins is a candidate for an upgrade.
“Nnamdi Collins is a very good example of how reliably we as a club are now able to show young talents a clear development plan and put it into action. Since he’s been here, Nnamdi has worked hard on himself and has the necessary patience and willingness. His achievements at this level are the result of his daily training work. At the same time, Nnamdi and we know that there is further potential within him, which is why we are all the more pleased to continue on the path we have chosen together for a longer period of time,” sports director Timmo Hardung was quoted as saying in a club statement.
