Ndicka is one of twelve professionals at Eintracht whose contracts end in 2023. So the Hessians have the last chance to get a reasonable fee for these players in the coming summer. “It’s possible that one or the other will leave us. Because: If the players don’t extend the contract, the situation automatically arises that we have to sell,” said sporting director Markus Krösche recently. Ndicka’s price tag is said to be around €25m. With a sale of this magnitude, the Frenchman would displace André Silva (26) from third place in the ranking of the most expensive disposals in SBU history. Ndicka joined Eintracht in 2018 for €5.5m from AJ Auxerre, who have only spent more on nine players in the club’s history.

Since then, the Frenchman has made 134 appearances, in which he has contributed ten goals and nine assists. On the last matchday, the focus was on the defender when he first scored his own goal in the 2-2 win against TSG Hoffenheim before he equalized and then prepared the interim 2-1. “He was the character of the game, playing a very good season for us. But you also saw what he still had to work on,” said coach Oliver Glasner. Among the Austrians, Ndicka is the most-used defender at SBU this season. As a peek into the TM rumor mill reveals, his performances have attracted interest not only from Newcastle but also from PSG, Arsenal and Tottenham.

SBU prepared for possible Ndicka exit – Besiktas’ Ridvan Yilmaz coming?

The Frankfurters are meanwhile prepared for a possible departure of the defender and have already secured the services of Jérôme Onguéné (24), who comes to the Main metropolis on a free transfer from RB Salzburg. In addition, defender Hrvoje Smolcic (21) from HNK Rijeka from Croatia is about to move to the “Adlers”. Eintracht has apparently found what they are looking for in the Süper Lig for further strengthening of the defensive. As reported by Turkish reporter Yağız Sabuncuoğlu, the SGE submitted its interest in Yilmaz to Besiktas. An official offer is expected to be received by the top Turkish club this week.

Yilmaz established himself as a regular this season and was among the winners in the latest market value update, posting a plus of €5.5m. “Yilmaz is the classic new, modern left-back with a lot going forward. His strength is certainly the offensive game, especially his crosses are very good. He still has his weaknesses on the defensive and is sometimes too impetuous in duels,” says Lara Karacan, Lead of Content at Transfermarkt Turkey, about the national player whose contract ends in 2023.
