Eintracht Frankfurt is letting Jens Petter Hauge move back to Norway and has therefore found a suitable agreement for a transfer with Bodø/Glimt. Most recently, Hauge’s return to his training club, to which the 25-year-old was loaned out last year, was lacking in the offer for the winger. Eintracht sports director Timmo Hardung was irritated by this in view of a purchase option that had actually been agreed upon.
According to Kicker magazine, Eintracht will receive at least 3.5 million euros. A further 1.5 million euros can be added to this base transfer through bonus payments. In the event of a future sale, the SGE would also receive a resale share of 20 percent from the Nordland team. Hauge signed a contract until the end of 2028.
“Jens Petter Hauge has developed well in his old hometown, but at the same time we honestly cannot guarantee him as much playing time as he received last year,” said sports director Markus Krösche, explaining the move. “Jens Petter made many friends during his time in Frankfurt. That’s why it was clear after we were able to find a solution with Bodø that we wouldn’t put any obstacles in the player’s way. We wish him much success for the future.”
Hauge justified his comeback to his old place of work, where he contributed twelve goals and eleven assists in 44 competitive games last calendar year, with the sporting perspective in Bodø. The team has won the elite series championship title four times in the past five years and is currently playing in the Europa League for a place in the next round. “It is first and foremost my hometown,” added Hauge in an interview on the Norwegians’ website. “It’s a lot of fun to play here with a lot of good friends with whom you grew up, who went through the same path through the academy and finally made your debut together in the senior team.”
