Eintracht Braunschweig strengthens with BVB talent Immanuel Pherai

Farewell after 5 years in Dortmund

After leaving Borussia Dortmund after five years, Immanuel Pherai found a new club. The attacking midfielder joins Eintracht Braunschweig, as the second division promoted announced on Wednesday. The 21-year-old signed a contract with Lower Saxony until 2024. Pherai played 32 games in the third division last season, in which he was directly involved in 13 goals. He also made his Bundesliga debut for the pros.

“I’m really looking forward to playing for Eintracht Braunschweig in the next two years. The 2nd Bundesliga will be a great experience and I will do everything to ensure that we as a team achieve our goals. At this point I would like to thank Borussia Dortmund for the time we spent together, I was able to learn a lot at BVB,” explained Pherai, who is the fifth new signing for the coming season. The right-footed player had previously no longer wanted to extend his working paper at BVB, which means he is moving on a free transfer.

Sports Managing Director Peter Vollmann added about Pherai, who will be the most valuable player in the squad with a market value of 700,000 euros according to the current status: “In Immanuel we are getting a very creative player who will give us the necessary impetus from midfield. He is very strong and dangerous in front of goal himself. We are delighted that he will enrich our squad over the next two years.”
