A major fire broke out on Jonkheer de Jongestraat in the center of Hoogeveen on the night of Saturday to Sunday. According to a spokesperson for the Drenthe safety region, it started with a car fire that spread to a home.
Two houses, from a row of eight houses, were ultimately affected by the fire, the spokesperson confirmed. The fire is now under control. There were no casualties.
