The Akashi house has renewed its super sports car with an advanced design and cutting-edge technologies for refined performance. Present at Eicma, this new version is an important evolution with a complete package of updates, aimed at improving aerodynamics, control and performance
There Kawasaki has made the recent history of Superbikes with six constructors’ and seven drivers’ championships won, including one from Tom Sykes in 2013 and then the incredible streak of six consecutive titles brought home by Jonathan Rea from 2015 to 2020. He obtained these results with the Ninja ZX-10Rone of the most iconic models in the history of the Akashi house, which Kawasaki has now decided to renew and which it presents at Eicma. To always be at the top in terms of performance and technology, this new version represents a significant evolution. There is a complete package of updates to improve the aerodynamics, control and performance of the Ninja itself, for extreme yet refined riding, both on the track and on the road.
Aerodynamics and cycling
—
The Ninja ZX-10R’s new aerodynamic package sees fins integrated into the frontwhich help increase downforce by 25% compared to the previous version. Thus the bike can be even more stable at high speeds, with the front end more solid and precise when cornering. Optimized the angle of the wings, with the right balance between downforce and aerodynamic resistance. The front has been redesigned, with new headlights with a compact design and an air intake RamAir repositioned and the winglets which give an even more aggressive look to the Ninja. The racing bike then features suspension Showa Bff (Balance-Free Front Fork) and Brfc lite (Balance Free Rear Cushion), developed with Kawasaki Racing Teamwith calibrations oriented towards track use of the Ninja ZX-10 R to try to optimize load transfer and improve handling. The geometry of the chassiswhich integrates better with the new aerodynamic package. This improves traction during acceleration and increases lateral G force when cornering. The braking system consists of calipers Brembo M50 monobloc, 330 mm discs and radial pump brake, for powerful, modular and constant braking.
Engine and technology
—
There is always an engine on this Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R 998 cm³ four-cylinder in-line enginenow compliant with the Euro 5+ regulation. With the soul racing well intact, the engine output is powerful and well manageable, but the updated data have not yet been declared power and torque. The Japanese company’s engineers have taken great care of the engine’s response in the various cornering phases to ensure maximum performance entry, journey and exit. There is then a second O₂ sensor which reduces emissions even further, while still maintaining high performance, as well as a precise and natural response to the gas. There is new instrumentation on this Kawasaki 5″ color TFTwhich offers a modern and functional display, more advanced than the previous model. Then with the application Rideology The App Motorcyclethe Ninja driver can connect their smartphone to access data, personalized settings and advanced management functions. Turn-by-turn navigation and voice control also make their debut on this model.
The ZX-10RR and the colors
—
In addition to the Ninja ZX-10R there is also the evolution for 2026 of its most extreme version, namely the ZX-10RR. Designed for track use, it has strong components racing such as connecting rods and pistons Panklbut also metal braided brake hoses. The steering damper Öhlins twin-tube is now standard on both the ZX-10R and ZX-10RR versions, ensuring greater stability both at high speeds and when braking. With a truly complete electronic package, the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R 2026 is available in different colors such as Lime Green, Blue 24, Metallic Matte Graphenesteel Grey, Metallic Spark Black. The extreme ZX-10RR version is only available in one color Lime Green. Kawasaki has not yet announced the arrival date of the new Ninja ZX-10R and ZX-10RR 2026, perhaps at Eicma news on marketing and pricing.
