These eggheads have nothing more to cackle for now…

A group of young people threw chicken eggs at firefighters again on Tuesday evening.

► At 7:15 p.m., the gang threw their eggs onto a turntable ladder vehicle that had to stop at a traffic light at the Hermannstrasse/Mariendorfer Weg intersection (Neukölln). The young people fled in the direction of Britzer Damm.

► At 9:25 p.m. the next egg attack. An ambulance crew, which was traveling with blue lights, was caught from the Britzer Tor pedestrian walkway. The rescuers alerted the police from the car.

Section 55 officers then searched Carl Weder Park, where the group had fled. There they found a 14-year-old who is already known to the police for similar crimes. They arrested him and handed him over to his parents.

A police spokeswoman: “We are investigating the dangerous intervention in road traffic and the obstruction of emergency services.”

Most recently, eggs were thrown at an ambulance on Hermannplatz (Neukölln) on Tuesday last week. The crew had to stop the operation and the car was taken out of service. There was paint damage and dents on the car. The perpetrators escaped undetected.
