Eelde-Paterswolde under the spell of sticker action: ‘I still have eleven’

“How many do you still need?” “Do you have number 16 for me?” “I still have a lot of duplicates, who wants them?” In Eelde-Paterswolde, it was only about one thing in recent weeks: the historic sticker book campaign of the historical association Ol Eel and supermarket Jumbo.

A total of 216 sticker pictures could be saved that belong in the book Eelde – A journey through the past. The promotion ended this week, but for those who did not yet have all the pictures, there was an exchange fair on Saturday afternoon. And a lot of people came to that.

“I only have eleven left,” says a woman as she stands in the long queue at the Notenkraker cultural center. “But my father still has 91. I have a hundred pictures that I hand in, so our books will be full tonight.”

“It’s unbelievable,” said Jur Eckhardt, chairman of Ol Eel. “We saw that a lot was being exchanged on the internet in recent weeks. So we thought everyone had their book full. But not so, because it is storming. Great!”
