Eduard Hallberg race on Sunday for World Cup points in Adelboden, Switzerland. After the opening race, the Finn is once again in the fight for victory in the slalom competition.
Hallberg started the journey for the first time in the hot group with starting number 11. He was at the top pace by a couple of tenths in the first intervals, but a few mistakes hit the steep.
Hallberg was, however, third only 0.29 seconds ahead of the finish line Henrik Kristoffersen slower.
The first round is over. The second Finn of the race, Jesper Pohjolainencounts with the number 53.
The second round starts at 14:30.
To the top of the world
Hallberg, who made a rocket-like rise to the world’s elite this winter, opened the slalom season in Levi by finishing third.
The second podium place of the season came off on Wednesday in Italy’s Madonna di Campiglio, when the Finn was second. Hallberg led Madonna’s evening slalom after the opening round.
Norway led the slalom world cup Timon Haugan drove out with his opening bill. Hallberg is in fifth place in the slalom cup before Sunday’s competition.
