The Edmonton Oilers Leon Draisaitl is in the North American professional ice hockey league NHL still in form.
The Canadians won their home game against the on Wednesday evening (December 6th, 2023/local time). Carolina Hurricanes with 6:1 and celebrated their fifth win in a row.
Despite the Oilers’ offensive gala, Draisaitl did not contribute to the goal. The Oilers laid the foundation for their tenth win of the season with a furious opening third, after which head coach Kris Knoblauch’s team led 4-0.
Playoff places in sight
Zach Hyman was the outstanding man for Edmonton with three goals, Draisaitl’s partner Connor McDavid and Mattias Janmark also stood out with three assists each.
Thanks to the winning streak, the playoff places are gradually coming back into sight for the Oilers despite their disastrous start to the season. With 21 points, Edmonton is missing in the Western Conference currently only six points left on the last wildcard ticket.
