In an interview, Ed Sheeran revealed that he has been working on a fall album, which will be released soon.
It’s official: Ed Sheeran will release a new album this fall. The British singer confirmed this in an interview with Andy Cohen. Sheeran revealed to the US presenter on his Sirius XM radio show that he’s coming up with new music soon.
At the beginning of the month, Sheeran really fueled the rumor mill. On August 1, he wrote on Instagram, “Autumn is coming.” At a concert in Minneapolis on Saturday (August 12), he also surprised fans with three new songs. After playing the new tracks, the singer-songwriter hinted that they would be a “good playlist for fall,” adding, “fall is coming soon, see you soon.”

When asked what his line “Autumn is coming” means and whether there will be any new music coming in October, Sheeran replied, “I won’t tell, but yeah, there’s new music coming soon.” album over the fall,” Sheeran told Andy Cohen. “I don’t have any expectations of it. The concert will be broadcast on SiriusXM’s The Ed Sheeran Channel, which starts today and runs through August 21st.
Is the new album coming out in August?
It is not yet known when the autumn album will be released. However, Sheeran shared another cryptic post on his Instagram account on Thursday (Aug. 17). There, the singer posted a retro-style commercial promoting a “damper hamper” in which to put fall-related things like scented candles, mulch, tea and more.
Sheeran also provides a phone number (+1.917.909.4498) where a message for Gingerbread Man Records can be heard. Unfortunately, according to Sheeran’s message, all “Damper Hamper” are currently sold out. But they will be refilled on August 24th, so save the date. Sounds like new music is coming out on August 24th. Whether this is the new album or just a new song is unclear.
It was only in May of this year that Ed Sheeran released his sixth studio album – (SUBTRACT). He is currently touring the United States through the fall. On September 23, Sheeran will wrap up his tour at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.
