Many Westland horticulturists drive petrol-guzzling SUVs. Ed Smit is also a Westlander with a horticultural background, but he approaches his transport differently. In Costa Rica he is involved in sustainable tourism. He is the first in that country to have a car sharing platform for electric cars.
