The Bosnian went with the team to the away section to ask for support from the fans. A fine and disqualification for one or more days could arrive, but the prosecutor is waiting for the inspectors’ report
After yet another defeat of Fiorentinayesterday against Atalanta, Dzeko and the rest of the team approached the away section, called to report under the curve. The Bosnian striker took the megaphone to make himself heard and asked the Viola fans for support in this difficult moment. Dzeko’s gesture was decidedly blatant, making a check of the Sports Justice Code inevitable. Article 25 paragraph 9 states: “During competitions or in situations connected to the carrying out of their activity, members are prohibited from having discussions with supporters or from submitting to demonstrations and behaviors of the same which constitute forms of intimidation, lead to offence, denigration, insult to the person or in any case violate human dignity”. Not an absolute ban therefore. For this reason, the federal prosecutor Giuseppe Chinè is waiting for the report from his inspectors before deciding whether to proceed. The risks? According to the code, disqualification for one or more days and a fine of 20 thousand euros.
