Shovkovskyi made a statement at the press conference held after the match.
Pointing out that they conceded a goal at the very beginning of the match, Shovkovskyi said, “With this goal, my players’ morale deteriorated. However, we still found five positions but we could not take advantage of them. Our opponent is a very strong team. We played well until the second goal we conceded, but we could not take our chances.” he said.
Pointing out that they went through a difficult period due to the Ukraine-Russia war, Shovkovskyi said:
“We have 9 players from the youth team. We will try to do our best for the remaining 4 matches in Europe. Frankly speaking, we are not morale because of the situation in Ukraine. New players do not want to come to our country. We need new players. That is why the results can be so bad. After the war started, the players in our academy went abroad. Today is a very difficult day not only for football but for the whole of Ukraine. Because we are left alone. Everyone in our country is very hard on this issue. tired. That’s why we just want to talk games.”
