Dynamo Dresden has probably found a new coach

Second division soccer team Dynamo Dresden has apparently found a new coach.

According to consistent media reports, Guerino Capretti should save the traditional Saxon club from relegation.

As the “dpa” found out, the 40-year-old is supposed to sign a contract with the Saxons on Wednesday (today) and be presented at a press conference. Most recently, the German-Italian was under contract with SC Verl.

Dynamo parted ways with head coach Alexander Schmidt on Tuesday and reacted to the sporting downturn of the past few weeks. After seven games in a row without a win, four of them without a goal, and in view of a one-point lead over the relegation rank, those responsible for Dynamo felt compelled to act.

Capretti, who looked after SC Verl for almost five years and helped them get promoted to the third division at the end of the 2019/20 season, is said to be on the Dresden coaching bench for the away game at Werder Bremen (1:30 p.m. / Sky) on Sunday.
