After a quick dismissal

After the early dismissal of Ange Postecoglou at Nottingham Forest, a successor has apparently emerged. As Sky Sports reports, the Tricky Trees are in advanced negotiations with Sean Dyche. Accordingly, there should already be a verbal commitment from the 54-year-old.
Dyche would be Nottingham’s third manager of the young season. In September, Nuno Espírito Santo had to vacate his position with the Europa League participants, and his successor Postecoglou was over again after eight games in 39 days. With five points from eight games, Nottingham is in 18th place in the top English league (table).
Dyche was most recently employed at Everton FC, where his term ended in January 2025. He averaged 1.23 points in 83 games and was replaced by David Moyes after two years. Dyche is familiar with the relegation battle in the Premier League from his time at Burnley FC, which he kept in the league for several years with limited resources.
