Dwars door Brugge has two great winners

Despite the soaking wet weather, more than 5000 athletes are once again at the start of the various competitions of Dwars door Brugge. Performance runners, but also people who just want to enjoy running through the most beautiful places in Bruges. The favorites are last year’s winner Simon Mestdagh, and Ward Van Der Kelen, third in his first participation.

Two beautiful winners

It is the East Flemish Van Der Kelen who wins. For fourteen kilometers he walked together with Mestdagh, in the end the latter had to bow his head. No second consecutive victory for the Oostkamp native. In the women’s race we see a repeat of last year, with Gwendolyn De Deyne again winning. Woman in shape, because she also recently won Damme-Brugge-Damme.
