Amsterdam – Forest fires such as those in Los Angeles can be fought more quickly by deploying a certain type of F-35 fighter jet. This is according to a group of Dutch experts around former fire chief Piet Mol, who brought this plan to the attention of rescEU last year, a vehicle of the European Union that, among other things, deals with fire fighting.
