Dutch publisher also stops selling ‘Winnetou’ books because of “racist stereotypes”

A Dutch publisher stops selling books about Winnetou, the Indian hero from Karl May’s stories. Meulenhoff Boekerij thus follows the German industry colleague, who already withdrew publications of ‘Winnetou’ this week. The books are said to be bulging with “racist stereotypes”. Bol.com has also temporarily stopped selling.
