Dutch media entrepreneur Derk Sauer died as a result of a fall from stairs: “It was incredibly bad luck”

Journalist and publisher Derk Sauer has died as a result of a fall from a staircase on his sailboat. His wife Ellen Verbeek said this on Wednesday in the Dutch talk show ‘Eva’. Sauer died in July at the age of 72. His family has not yet shared details of the accident, which occurred during a trip in the Mediterranean near the Greek island of Corfu.
