The Dutch government wants to massively increase the production of wind energy in the coming decades. New wind farms need to be built, especially far away from land. In 2050, the government team wants to produce about seventy gigawatts of wind energy at sea. Minister of Climate and Energy Rob Jetten calls the aim “very ambitious”.
