Durosinmi before moving to Eintracht Frankfurt? Pilsen increases prices tenfold

PAO won’t let Ioannidis go

Eintracht Frankfurt’s striker search for the January transfer window is coming to an end. How “Sky“ reports, the Hessians are about to sign the talented goalscorer Rafiu Durosinmi from Viktoria Pilsen. The 20-year-old, 1.92 meters tall and with nine goals and six assists in 19 competitive games this season, is expected to cost between 7 and 8 million euros, excluding possible bonuses, and will complete the medical check-up on the Main in December. Only details remain to be clarified.

This means that Pilsen will receive a hefty transfer bonus if the transfer goes through. After a six-month loan, the six-time Czech champions signed Durosinmi from MFK Karvina in the summer for 750,000 euros. The attacker, who was also linked to VfL Wolfsburg, had signed until 2026.

According to “Sky”, there is also clarity regarding Durosinmi’s injury condition. The attacker has been out since the end of October with a torn knee ligament. However, this is not supposed to be a torn cruciate ligament, as some fear, but rather an injury to the outer ligament. His return to the pitch is expected in four weeks at the latest, and Durosinmi could then probably complete the short winter preparation. The Bundesliga starts the second half of the season on January 12th.

Durosinmi instead of Ioannidis: Eintracht Frankfurt without an agreement with PAO

A transfer of Greek international Fotis Ioannidis would then be off the table. Eintracht is said to have offered a similar sum for the 23-year-old, but Panathinaikos Athens declined. The offer is too small and the players are too important in the race for the first championship since 2010. Ioannidis scored the most goals not in Super League 1, but on the international stage: six of his nine goals this season came from the Champions League -Qualification and the Europa League – this increased the interest of international clubs. VfB Stuttgart should also have him on their list in the event of Serhou Guirassy (27) saying goodbye.
