The most expensive transfer of the previous season is fixed: Jhon Durán leaves Aston Villa and joins the Saudi Pro League club al-Nassr. Superstar Cristiano Ronaldo’s club pays a transfer fee of 77 million euros for the 21-year-old, according to aging media reports. Bayer Leverkusen would have waved a similar sum for Victor Boniface, who is said to have already completed his medical check for al-NassR before deciding on the less injury and younger Durán.
A transfer has never been more expensive in the history of Al-Nassr. The previous record of the current fourth in the table of the Saudi Pro League was Otávio, who switched to Saudi Arabia for EUR 60 million in 2023. Durán completed his medical check on Thursday and then signed a contract dated until 2031.
