Dual leadership for the digital subsidiary of Intersport

Intersport Digital GmbH has appointed David Walker as Managing Director. Walker and the managing director Katja Burkert, who has been in office since January, will form a dual leadership from April, the Intersport subsidiary announced on Friday.

Walker takes over Intersport’s online business, market communication from Intersport Digital GmbH and CRM. Burkert, who works both as head of the IT department for Intersport and as managing director of Intersport Digital GmbH, will continue to be responsible for the digital platform and the digitization of the company. Under the joint leadership of Burkert and Walker, the growth of Intersport’s omnichannel business is to be further advanced and the growth course accelerated.
