A man was hit head-over-heels with his car on Kempenweg in Oirschot on Sunday afternoon. The car came to a stop in the ditch. The victim appeared to be heavily under the influence of alcohol.
The driver rammed a traffic sign and a lamppost with his car before it overturned. In addition to the fire brigade, police, ambulance and military police, an air ambulance also arrived on the scene because the victim was no longer approachable. There was a bottle of wine in the man’s car.
He was injured and taken to hospital by ambulance. The cycle path next to the road has been closed for a long time because the path had to be cleared. The car was severely damaged.
