A German drove off a quay wall at Stratumseind in Eindhoven on Saturday night and almost ended up in the ice-cold Dommel. People who saw this happen called 112. Several fire trucks were then sent there because there was fear that the car would continue to slide.
Ultimately, the car came to a stop on the quay wall and did not end up in the water. The driver was able to get out of the car himself.

The German man appeared to be drunk. Because he was being difficult and even wanted to get back in his car to take a nap, the man was arrested by the police. The car was towed by a recovery company and taken away.
