A man from Haren (40) in Groningen drove his car into a house on Berkenlaan in Tynaarlo this morning. The car caught fire. “The house was also severely damaged, but fortunately no one was injured,” police spokesperson Thijs Damstra added RTV North.
The Harenaar was arrested for driving under the influence and for driving with a revoked driver’s license. Damstra: “Around one o’clock last night he was also arrested on the N386 between Peize and Vries. That was for possible driving under the influence and for refusing any form of cooperation. His driver’s license was subsequently recovered.”
