His life is the basis for a Netflix script, at least he thinks so. According to Janus Van Wesenbeeck, the popular Netflix series are Undercover and Ferrystarring Frank Lammers as Ferry Bouwman, based on his life.
A new chapter has been added to that script this week. Van Wesenbeeck was arrested last Monday on suspicion of involvement in trade in Crystal Meth and cocaine.
The suspicion is based on messages that have been sent with special cryptophones. A second suspect was arrested on Wednesday, the police reported in one press release.
No names are mentioned in this. However, crime journalist Vico Olling confirms on X that it is Van Weesbeeck. He is a writer of the authorized biography Drug laneabout the life of Van Wesenbeeck. It was born in 1961 on a caravan camp near Eindhoven
Complaint against Netflix
At the end of May it was announced that Janus van Wesenbeeck is demanding tens of millions from Netflix. He recognizes so many storylines from the life of the Ferry Bouman that this fictional character must be based on him.
And that is precisely why Van Weesbeeck said he has sustained “emotional and reputational damage.” He does not recognize himself in the violent character of the ferry played by Lammers in the Netflix series Undercover and Ferry. Netflix states that Ferry Bouman is a fictional character.
The irony wants stories to be stored in the criminal environment for some time that Van Wesenbeeck is on black seed and tries to collect money in imminent tone that they would still owe Van Wesenbeeck. A large number of sources that this newspaper spoke confirm that.
Bomb attacks
