Drug dealer warned just too late: ‘Greetings from the local police officer’

A 27-year-old drug dealer from Eindhoven was tipped off just too late by one of his customers on Tuesday. After the two made a deal, the man received an app that he had to stop immediately, but it did not come in time. “Too late, greetings to the local police officer”, the tipster received in response.

A local police officer shares the ironic story on Instagram. He and his colleagues were driving on Zeeheldenlaan and saw a known drug user waiting there. He walked to Gemmastraat and soon a dealer appeared.

The man got into the car and got out after a few seconds. “A scene that we see a little too often in Woensel South,” the agent writes. The man was arrested after the dealer disappeared. He made a statement and did not have to go to the station.

A little further on, another agent was able to detain the dealer. The man gave a muddled story and denied that he had any drugs on him. On the way to the police station, the police decided to search the man. The officers found cocaine in his pocket.

Meanwhile, the buyer thought he had outsmarted the police by warning the dealer, assuming he was still at large. On the dealer’s phone, apps flooded in with the text: ‘Don’t drive this car anymore and don’t sell sweets this week. Two people have already been arrested who buy from you. Stop right now.’

The police officer then picked up the dealer’s phone and kindly sent back: ‘Too late, greetings, the police officer’.
