From the startup to the international defense provider

Droneshield was founded in the US state of Virginia in 2014 and positioned itself early as a provider of technologies for drone defense. Just two years later, the IPO at the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) followed, which laid the foundation stone for international expansion. Today, according to its own statements, the company is mainly in Australian hands and has around 20,000 shareholders – there is no dominant major shareholder. The headquarters in Sydney and a second headquarters in Virginia reflect the transatlantic orientation. In addition, Drroneshield has a widely branched sales network with local partners in more than 70 countries.

Technology and products at an overview

DroneShield specializes in so -called Counter -Unmanned Aerial Systems (CUAS) – technologies that can recognize, disturb or switch unmanned flying objects. The company develops both hardware and software solutions that are specifically tailored to the needs of security authorities, military and infrastructure providers.

As can be seen from group information, the product portfolio includes portable interference systems such as the Dronegun MK3, MK4 and Dronegun Tactical, which look like rifles and force drones to land or return with a beam. This offer is complemented by the portable RFPatrol MK2, which works with artificial intelligence and can be carried discreetly on the body.

In addition, Droneshield offers stationary systems such as Dronesentry-X, which enables automated 360 ° recognition and defense, as well as command and control solutions such as Dronesentry-C2 and the mobile variant C2 Tactical. The latter provide the users an intuitive position and enable efficient coordination of defense measures. According to their own information, the systems are used for military, critical infrastructure, public security, border protection, airports and correctional facilities.

Record numbers and growth jumps

In the first quarter of 2025, Drroneshield reported new sales high and thus significant growth compared to the same period last year. The business with recurring software proceeds developed particularly dynamically, which recorded strong growth.

Significant large orders from the Asia-Pacific region ensured additional buoyancy, which extend over several quarters and include both delivery and billing.
