Cyclist Aniek van Alphen suffered a broken collarbone and a mild concussion in a crash during the third stage of the Burgos cycling tour on Saturday. This is reported by her Belgian team Fenix-Premier Tech.
Van Alphen will undergo additional examinations this Sunday in the hospital in Herentals. The 27-year-old rider is best known as a cyclo-cross rider. In February she secured the overall victory in the Superprestige series.
Mischa Bredewold won the third stage in the Tour of Burgos on Saturday.
