One in four Belgian drivers admits to reading or typing messages while driving. This is evident from new research published by Vias Institute. Vias believes that the chance of being caught urgently needs to increase. On Tuesday and Wednesday, the police will check for 48 hours on the use of mobile phones behind the wheel and other forms of distraction while driving. Will smart cameras soon be used in our country, just like in the Netherlands, to automatically catch offenders?
