Drivers suddenly had to brake on the A2 near Den Bosch for a special road user. On Saturday afternoon, a cow suddenly walked across the parallel lane for traffic heading towards Utrecht.
“The Wild West, but on the A2,” Rijkswaterstaat writes with a video of the loose cow on X (formerly Twitter). At the Hintham junction the animal walked across the road, causing the parallel lane to close. The police were able to close in on the cow with a motorcycle and a service car.
“After a chase, the cow was brought to a standstill,” Rijkswaterstaat even states. A veterinarian and a transport vehicle then came to the A2. It is not clear how the cow could end up on the highway near Den Bosch.
