The accident happened around 11.40 am on Zittend in Westwoud. According to a police spokesperson, a car crashed head-on into a suspected loose trailer. The driver of the car became trapped.
The fire brigade eventually freed this person from the vehicle. The driver was taken to hospital with unknown injuries.
“We are continuing to investigate the accident,” the spokesperson said. That is why the road is still closed. It is unknown when it will be released again.
