A driver from a transport company was seriously injured on Friday afternoon in a fall of a truck. That happened at Waste Processor Remondis at Ekkersrijt in Son.
The accident happened around two o’clock in the afternoon. Two ambulances, police and a platform from the fire brigade pulled out. A trauma helicopter was also called up.
According to a Remondis spokesperson, it is still unclear what exactly happened. The man would have fallen from the truck somehow. “A lot is also a question for us. We don’t know if he slipped or whatever.”
After the fall, the man crawled back into the truck. How exactly that went is also unclear. The fire brigade tries to remove the man from the truck with a platform. “He can hardly move and that is why they want to keep him in a stable situation,” said the spokesperson.
