Driver fears traffic jams on the new course in Miami

Formula 1 is about to make a big debut. In Miami, it will be on the track for the first time next weekend. But when you look at the course, one driver suspects something bad.

The Miami Grand Prix is coming up. For the first time in the history of Formula 1, the “Magic City” will be used. Along the Hard Rock Stadium of the Miami Dolphins football team, the pilots have to push their limits to collect important points in the World Cup standings. As is typical for the USA, the organizers wanted a special route. One that stands out.

Speeds of up to 320 kilometers per hour should be possible on the straights. At the same time, there are demanding corners that are particularly tight in the final sector. There are areas, some of which belong to entrances and exits of the “Florida Turnpike” freeway.

The route’s chief designer, Andrew Wallis, recently emphasized that “the limits of the layout in this report” had been reached there.
