Dressage: Team World Champion Dufour saddled

Team World Champion Cathrine Dufour, one of the strongest challengers of the German dressage team, has completely repositioned herself a year and a half before the Olympics in Paris.

The 31-year-old Danish surprisingly gave up her two championship horses Vamos Amigos and Bohemian and now relies on the only eight-year-old Swedish dark chestnut Vividus, in which she herself owns shares.

With Bohemian, Dufour took fourth place at the 2021 Olympics in Tokyo. At the European Championships in Hagen aTW in the same year, the two won silver in the special and bronze in the freestyle behind Olympic champion Jessica von Bredow-Werndl and Dalera.

At the 2022 World Championships in Herning, Dufour relied on Vamos Amigos, but had to admit defeat in the special and in the freestyle as the big gold favorite of Britain’s Lottie Fry with Glamourdale.
