Strubbe’s statements make Schwerin despair

Dresden had serious problems at the beginning of the match (0:4), but then benefited from a minute-long break due to a technical glitch. At 11:10 – a clean cross attack by top scorer Maja Storck – the Black and Reds managed the first lead. They didn’t give that up afterwards and secured the first set (25:22) after mistakes by the guests on the serve and shortly afterwards on the block.

The Waibl team took this momentum into the second round and hurried away (6:1). The Mecklenburg-Western Pomeranians did not get along at all with Monique Strubbe’s repeatedly outstanding statements. Driven by this, the lead grew steadily. Although Schwerin still scored five points in a row after Dresden’s 21:9, this did not change the clear DSC set win (25:15).

Schwerin only smells morning air for a short time

The third set turned out to be much tighter again. Among other things, Schwerin sensed morning air with an 11:9 lead, but after a break the hosts found their rhythm back, while the SSC women repeatedly made avoidable mistakes. The Dresdeners turned the first of three match balls to 25:22 into a sovereign and well-deserved success. Maja Storck was once again the DSC top scorer with 19 points.
