Dynamo Dresden has made another statement in the 2nd Bundesliga and prevented SV Darmstadt 98 from reaching the top of the table. The Saxons won against the second-placed team 3-1 (2-0) and temporarily left the relegation places. Vincent Vermeij (45th, 45th+1) put the Saxons in the lead with a brace just before the break.
At that time, Darmstadt was outnumbered after a red card for Patric Pfeiffer (43rd). Christoph Daferner (81st) sealed Dynamo’s third home win of the season in front of 30,460 spectators.
