Manchester United’s winning streak continued when they overthrew Fulham 3-2 in extra time.

Manchester United is one of the most valuable brands in the world of sports.

However, its image is burdened by inflamed gaps between the club’s owners and fans.

On Sunday, thousands of fans took part in a giant protest against the ownership of the main owners, the Glazer siblings, and minority-owned footy operator Sir by Jim Ratcliffe role in the club.

– The Glazers, thieves and liars for 20 years, read one of the protesters’ sheets.

The truth is that under the Yankee owners, United has changed from a financially healthy organization to a club burdened with a heavy debt burden.

– This club is becoming Disneyland. It’s definitely the wrong direction. The Americanization of the entire sport is happening here before our eyes, the 1958 fan association that organized the protest Steve Crompton summed up the supporters’ mood to The Guardian.

Interim coach Michael Carrick also had time to comment on the demonstration.

– It does not affect the team, and I fully respect the supporters. They are amazing. They have seen the ups and downs of United,” Carrick told the Manchester Evening News.

– It is in no way offensive to me or the players. And inside the stadium, we have felt the support of the supporters in every match. I believe it will continue as well.

Runs on the field

Carrick is not only the coach of the representative team but also a season ticket holder at Old Trafford.

In his short coaching spell, he had led the team to victories over Manchester City and Arsenal, who are in the championship race, so many believed that Fulham was just an easy bite for the United team that had regained their confidence.

The 90-minute didn’t turn out like that.

This time, United could not maintain the same heart rate and pace as in their two previous matches. The victory still came, but it also required a touch of luck.

United went into the break with a 1–0 lead, when the United skipper Bruno Fernandes raised the bar directly Casemiro to the head, which powerfully headed the opening goal into the top corner.

In the second period Matheus Cunha bombed the ball past the Fulham veskar for the second time Bernd Leno. The brass star’s whip brought the famous United stand at the Stretford End to the brink of euphoria.

Fulham looked set to get a consolation goal when Harry Maguire crashed by Raúl Jiménez in the penalty area. The Mexican himself lifted the 2-1 deficit from the spot right into the roof of the goal, when there were only five minutes of actual game time left.

However, it was enough time for us to see one of the most dramatic endings of the league season.

Namely, first the brass star of Fulham Kevin opened his own goal account in Mökkiläis with a wonderful cannon into the top corner.

It wasn’t the last hit either, because Fernandes still missed the spot to Benjamin Šeškowho erupted into wild cheers throughout the stadium as he tapped the ball into the Fulham net for the third time.

The Slovenian’s winning goal came in the fifth minute of extra time.

The 3–2 home win brought Manchester United back to fourth place in the league. When, at the same time, Aston Villa suffered a surprise loss to Brentford, the gap narrowed to the third place in the league to just five points.
