For the first time driving in the WRC2 class of the Central European rally on the World Rally Championship calendar Roope Korhonen the competition ended in a special way.

Korhonen announced on Facebook that the German police put a stop to the competition. The police informed the Finnish driver that the license plates of the racing car expired when Korhonen crossed the German border by moving towards Prague, Czech Republic.

When Korhonen was returning to the evening service after two special tests on Thursday, the police ordered the car to be banned from driving.

– Unfortunately, our trip ended after two special tests at the German border for reasons completely beyond our control. The disappointment is great. We were at a good pace, the fastest Finn in the WRC2 class, Korhonen wrote on Facebook.

In the Central European Rally, driving takes place in the regions of Germany, the Czech Republic and Austria.
