FOR ALL THE DOGS was originally scheduled for September 22nd, but was later pushed back to October 6th by Drake. For the total of 23 songs, Drake also brought in famous features such as PartyNextDoor, J. Cole, Lil Yachty, Chief Keef, Teezo Touchdown, Yeat, 21 Savage and SZA. Also featured is a track with Bad Bunny. Drake last worked with him in 2018 for their joint single “MIA,” which reached number five on the US Billboard Hot 100 charts. FOR ALL THE DOGS now follows as a supplement to Drake’s first volume of poetry.

Drake released his last major solo project in 2022 with HONESTLY, NEVERMIND. In contrast to the current record, there were no guest contributions apart from 21Savage. However, that didn’t seem to affect the success of the album, as the 36-year-old broke the record on Apple Music for the most streams of a dance album on the first day.
