During Festival Awakenings in Hilvarenbeek, at least 25 fines were handed out to taxi drivers last weekend. Two taxi drivers from Amsterdam were caught selling Vapes. They were seized by customs.
Furthermore, during the taxi troles – a joint action by enforcers of the municipality of Tilburg, the traffic police and the Human Environment and Transport Inspectorate – fines were distributed for:
- Various labor and resting time
- The lack of Tilburgs TaxiKeurmerk (twice)
- Don’t log in with driver card (ten times)
- A non -approved taxameter (three times)
- Not using the driver card (once)
- Do not register rides in the on -board computer of the taxi (three times)
- Not using the taxameter (twice)
- Creating extra seats in the taxi (twice)
- Not having a taxi permit (once)
- Not wearing a belt (once)
In total, around fifty taxis have been checked.
