One of the men was able to break into Omaposti with an attack program. The district court of Oulu has sentenced two men to suspended prison terms for an extensive fraud ring in which fake invoices were created for dozens of people in Posti’s electronic Omaposti service. A 24-year-old man created a configuration file suitable for Omaposti and used it with a free attack program he bought online and a list containing usernames and passwords. This is how he was able to log into Omaposti under different people’s names and create fake invoices.
