On Tuesday, the Public Prosecution Service demanded eight years in prison and TBS with compulsory treatment against 45-year-old Edwin G. from Oudenbosch, for online abuse of minor boys. According to the judiciary, G. has established a porn website site on which he has placed images of that abuse and ‘really deserved very roughly’. “The suspect has become a very rich man, over the backs of children,” said the public prosecutor.
G. found his victims on a chat site. He used images of a woman he had taken from another chat site, so that the boys thought they were dealing with a woman. In chat conversations such as Wendy, a 19-year-old woman.
The boys did not know that recordings were made of them and that the images were subsequently distributed. It is probably dozens of victims, of whom a limited part is on the indictment.
The victims were eight to sixteen years old. G. has been detained since March last year. On computers and other data carriers, the criminal investigation department found more than sixteen thousand children’s pornographic images.

The suspect founded the ‘Boywankers’ website in September 2011. On that website, users shared criminal images of sexual acts of minor boys. G. was not only the founder and manager of the site, he is suspected that he himself also made and shared punishable material.

The boys were ‘seen and used as a pleasure object by the suspect’, the officer said in the substantiation of her penalty requirement. “Unfortunately, that is too often the case for many children. With all the digital possibilities this has become even easier.”

According to the officer, G. has been busy for years. Behavioral experts have found several disorders in the man and warn of a moderate to high risk of repetition. The officer therefore took over their advice to TBS with compulsory treatment.
The police have identified eighteen minor Dutch victims. There may also be foreign victims, but the police did not investigate because they had to make choices because of the large amount of data.
Victim statements show that the case had a major impact on the boys involved. “I feel terribly abused and ashamed of me,” said one of them.
The court will rule in two weeks.
